Japan's Finance Ministry Official Says Bond Buybacks Are Not Under Consideration

According to Sina Finance, Masayuki Sato, head of the Debt Management Division at Japan's Ministry of Finance's Financial Bureau, said the government is not currently considering buying back Japanese government bonds. He made the remarks at a seminar in Tokyo and said Japan's bond market environment is "not necessarily the same as that of the United States."
