NDRC Holds Roundtable With U.S.-Invested Multinationals in China

China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) held a roundtable in Beijing on September 10 with senior executives from U.S.-invested multinational companies in China, including Amazon Web Services, Nvidia, Dell and Honeywell (China), according to Jiemian News. More than 60 company representatives from sectors including computing power, industrial energy, consumer goods and pharmaceuticals attended the meeting. Officials discussed policy considerations for China's 15th Five-Year Plan outline, China's foreign investment policy during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the implementation results of the country's new large-scale equipment upgrade and consumer goods trade-in policies, and measures to boost consumption. Beijing officials also briefed attendees on the city's economic and social development and promoted its investment environment.
