Chewy reported second-quarter net income of $80.5 million, or 20 cents per share, up from $62 million, or 14 cents per share, a year earlier. According to Sina Finance, adjusted earnings per share were 36 cents, matching FactSet consensus estimates. Revenue rose 7.3% year over year to $3.33 billion, compared with analyst expectations of $3.32 billion. Active customers increased 3.8% to 21.7 million, while net sales per active customer edged up 1.9%. Chewy raised its full-year net sales outlook to $13.46 billion-$13.57 billion from a prior range of $13.4 billion-$13.55 billion. For the third quarter, the company expects sales of $3.32 billion-$3.36 billion, versus analyst expectations of $3.33 billion.
