According to CNBC, Mission Produce shares rose 7.5% in premarket trading after the avocado producer beat FactSet estimates for both adjusted earnings per share and revenue in its fiscal third quarter. Apple shares were slightly lower as traders awaited an event where the company is expected to announce new iPhones, including a foldable model. Casey's General Stores fell more than 10% after reporting mixed fiscal first-quarter results, with earnings and revenue topping expectations but fuel sales down 0.3% from a year earlier and prepared food and dispensed beverage sales rising less than expected. Signet Jewelers climbed 17% after posting better-than-expected second-quarter earnings, with adjusted profit of $2.19 per share versus a FactSet estimate of $1.74, and the company raised its full-year earnings guidance. Energy stocks moved higher after Brent crude futures topped $100 a barrel for the first time since July amid rising tension between Iran and the U.S.; West Texas Intermediate futures gained 2.14% to $95 a barrel, the XLE ETF rose about 1%, and ExxonMobil advanced 1%.
