Nio’s shuttle routes will open to other companies in the Automotive Innovation Port park, covering areas including Jiading, Nanxiang, Songjiang, Jiuting, Minhang, Meilong, Xuhui, Changning, Yangpu, Hongkou, Qingpu, Zhoukang, Chuansha, Pudong, Qibao Donglan and Huangpu, according to Jiemian News. The service offers monthly passes and single tickets; Suzhou and Kunshan Huaqiao are excluded from the sharing plan. Monthly passes cost 430 yuan, while single tickets cost 12 yuan per ride.
The Automotive Innovation Port is located in Shanghai’s Anting International Automobile City and was designated by Shanghai’s economy and information commission as a Shanghai demonstration base for new industrialization in intelligent connected vehicles. The park covers 120,000 square meters of land, has a total floor area of 250,000 square meters and required a total investment of 2 billion yuan. Since opening in October 2015, it has attracted companies including Nio, SAIC Zero, IM Motors, Rising Auto, Porsche Engineering, Pininfarina, Horizon Robotics, Neusoft Reach and Icont Power.
The shuttle move comes as Nio continues to push its CBU management system, which it has rolled out across the company since 2025. Nio founder, Chairman and CEO William Li said in February that the system had played a major role last year and should be fully implemented. On September 1, Nio reported second-quarter operating profit of 210 million yuan, revenue of 32.14 billion yuan, and gross profit of 5.91 billion yuan. It also forecast third-quarter deliveries of 108,000 to 111,000 vehicles and revenue of 33.285 billion yuan to 34.051 billion yuan. Nio’s Hong Kong-listed shares rose 2.91% on September 9 to HK$29.72, giving the company a market value of about HK$74.593 billion.
