Petrovietnam said it and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) agreed to speed up talks on cooperation for nuclear power plants. According to Sina Finance, Petrovietnam General Director Le Manh Cuong and KEPCO President Kim Dong-cheol met in Seoul on Tuesday.
Petrovietnam said the two sides also agreed to deepen discussions on technology, investment, and financing, while seeking support from the relevant authorities in both countries. Petrovietnam added that KEPCO wants to work with it to build a feasible implementation model for Vietnam's nuclear power projects.
Petrovietnam said land clearance for about 97.5% of the land needed for the Ninh Thuan 2 nuclear power project has been completed.
