KOLON Life Science Biotech (06990) and Harbour BioMed (02142) said partner Windward Bio AG has announced positive interim results from the phase 2 portion of a clinical trial of SKB378/WIN378, also known as HBM9378, for asthma, according to ETNet.
The phase 3 portion has also started. SKB378/WIN378 was originally co-developed by the two groups, and Windward later obtained global rights to the molecule. The companies said the drug is a novel fully human, ultra-long-acting monoclonal antibody designed to inhibit thymic stromal lymphopoietin, or TSLP. Interim analysis showed dose-dependent mean increases in forced expiratory volume in one second at week 24 after a single dose, along with dose-dependent mean reductions in fractional exhaled nitric oxide and mean blood eosinophil counts.
