Trump Threatens To Ban Bombardier Jets From U.S. Market

According to Axios, President Trump threatened to bar Canadian aircraft maker Bombardier from selling jets in the United States just hours before Canada's retaliatory tariffs on $20 billion of U.S. goods took effect. Trump also wrote on Truth Social that he could stop trading with countries that run deficits with the U.S., saying it would be “better than tariffs,” while top trade official Jamieson Greer has said outright import bans could be an option and that federal law can allow presidents to prohibit trade under certain conditions. The article said Bombardier employs more than 1,000 people in Wichita, Kansas, and buys from about 2,800 U.S. suppliers across 47 states.
