Castle Opens Bitcoin Yield Stack to Individual Users

Bitcoin fintech company Castle has opened its automated Bitcoin financial stack to individual users and introduced a feature that lets customers choose any split between cash and Bitcoin for dividend payouts. According to ChainCatcher, the company said users can receive 100% of payouts in cash, convert 100% into Bitcoin, or select any ratio in between. Castle’s yield comes from Strategy’s perpetual preferred stock STRC, which was added to the platform earlier this year and currently pays a 12% annualized dividend on a semi-monthly basis. According to ChainCatcher, most users are expected to choose a blended option, using cash for daily expenses while automatically reinvesting the remainder into Bitcoin with each payout. Castle co-founder and CTO João Almeida said investors have long faced a choice between stable income and holding Bitcoin, and that the new setup is designed to provide both cash flow and long-term upside. The company previously served only business clients, including restaurants, gyms, accounting firms, and e-commerce companies, but said it opened individual accounts after repeated requests from business owners. Castle was founded by Almeida and CEO Stephen Cole and has received investment from Boost VC and Winklevoss Capital.
