Bessent Says the U.S. Will Weather Trade Dispute With Canada

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said, when asked about U.S.-Canada trade tensions, that “I think we will get through this.” According to Sina Finance, he also said Canada’s tariffs would have a minimal impact on U.S. inflation. Bessent made the remarks at a Breitbart News event in Washington. He said he did not know why Canadian Prime Minister Carney had abandoned the trade agreement proposed by the United States.
