Public Bank plans to privatise Public Financial Holdings (00626) at HK$2.50 per share, with the offer covering about 1.098 billion issued shares and 294 million scheme shares, or 26.77% of the company's issued share capital as at the date of the announcement, according to ETNet. The total cash consideration is about HK$735 million. Trading in the shares was suspended from August 20, 2026, and the company has applied to the Stock Exchange for trading to resume from September 9, 2026.
