Arkham Tags Wintermute as Major New PONS Holder

Arkham has tagged 3.43 million PONS, worth about $2.4 million, as belonging to market maker Wintermute, making it a major new holder of the token. According to ChainCatcher, Arkham said Wintermute appears to be accumulating PONS through a time-weighted strategy and may be preparing to provide on-chain market making for the token. PONS is the native token of Pons, a meme coin launch platform on Robinhood Chain that routes completed fundraising tokens to Uniswap pools. Arkham data shows the holding represents about 0.48% of PONS circulating supply of 712.1 million tokens and 0.34% of total supply of 1 billion tokens. Uniswap V3 pools and the Uniswap PoolManager contract also hold 6.46 million and 5.58 million PONS, respectively. Uniswap Labs previously bought PONS tokens, and the project said the purchase was intended to signal long-term alignment.
