The Ethereum Foundation said Protocol Cluster has published two articles that systematically assess the next network upgrade, Hegotá. According to Odaily, the team evaluated and ranked 62 proposed EIPs in its "Hegotá EIP Opinion Post and Tier List," marking the first unified EIP rating list released for a network upgrade.
About 60 researchers, engineers, and domain experts from nine Protocol Cluster teams took part in the review, submitting 397 rating opinions and discussing disputed proposals. The Ethereum protocol layer's current and future priorities include pushing Ethereum L1 to achieve quantum resistance by December 2029. Protocol Cluster will hold an AMA at 14:00 UTC on September 16 to discuss the Hegotá EIP ratings and protocol development priorities.
