China Accelerates 'Six Networks' Infrastructure Rollout as More Than 70 Trillion Yuan Investment Plan Advances

China's National Development and Reform Commission and the National Information Center are signaling a faster rollout of the 'Six Networks' infrastructure program, according to Jiemian News. On August 27, the Logistics Network Construction Implementation Plan was formally issued as the first national-level special implementation plan released under the six-network framework, while meetings on August 28 and September 2 called for faster deployment of new policy-based financial tools and quicker conversion of projects into physical work.肖宏伟, director of the Policy Simulation Lab at the Economic Forecasting Department of the National Information Center, said the pace will differ by quarter: the third quarter is the peak construction period, with local governments expected to speed up projects already under way and bring planned projects online sooner, while the fourth quarter should see a concentrated wave of major project starts. He said more physical workload will be released in the second half of the year as funding is disbursed and reserve projects mature, with more than 60% of the year's more than 70 trillion yuan investment plan expected to be realized in the second half.
