Vesu Reports Oracle Incident on September 4, 47 Positions Liquidated

Starknet lending protocol Vesu said an oracle incident occurred on September 4 after a faulty upstream Pragma price feed triggered abnormal liquidations across multiple Vesu pools. According to ChainCatcher, 47 positions and $3 million in collateral were liquidated between 04:08 and 04:10 UTC before the price feed corrected itself within two minutes. Pragma has worked with relevant parties to deploy a fix for the root cause, and Vesu expects pool curators to lift the pause on the affected pools within hours. Vesu said its contracts operated as designed, the protocol has no vulnerability, and no contract fix is needed because the issue came from incorrect input prices. Vesu is working with Pragma, StarkWare, Starknet Foundation, and pool curators to recover funds taken through the liquidations. Users affected by the incident were told to keep Earn positions open, since withdrawing may forfeit refund eligibility, while users liquidated during the event were asked to submit a support ticket in Discord. Vesu said a full technical report will be released soon.
