According to Jin10, the Arab Gulf States Institute said the momentum to build new trade, energy, and logistics infrastructure in the Gulf region is likely to continue regardless of the recent outcome of the Iran war. The institute said one goal is to bypass the Strait of Hormuz, and the investment boom also involves pipelines, railways, roads, ports, and new economic corridors across the region. Arab Gulf States Institute nonresident fellow Robert Mogielnicki said Saudi Arabia is expected to benefit as economic activity shifts westward, while the United Arab Emirates is developing an east-facing export and logistics hub and Oman is benefiting from transport routes that avoid regional bottlenecks.
