Circle and decentralized perpetual futures trading platform edgeX said they will work together as Arc mainnet launches on September 16. According to Odaily, edgeX will become Arc's flagship perp and will provide 24/7 FX trading on the first day of mainnet.
edgeX said it will initially offer a USD/JPY perpetual contract with 24/7 trading support and more than 150 perpetual markets covering U.S. stocks, commodities and crypto assets. All markets will use Arc-native USDC as margin and settlement assets.
Arc is Circle's Layer 1 blockchain built for stablecoin finance. It includes a FX engine called StableFX, an institutional RFQ quoting system and 24/7 on-chain PvP settlement, with USDC as the native gas token.
edgeX, which received investment from Circle Ventures, will exclusively launch FX perpetual markets on Arc Chain. The company said its trading volume has exceeded $900 billion since launch. Circle and edgeX previously worked together on native USDC issuance and CCTP integration for EDGE Chain.
