CITIC Securities Posts Record First-Half Profit, Plans Up to 200 Million Yuan Buyback

CITIC Securities reported first-half 2026 revenue of 7.537 billion yuan and net profit attributable to shareholders of 1.752 billion yuan, both record highs for the period, according to Jiemian News. Second-quarter revenue rose 65.98% year on year to 4.43 billion yuan, while net profit jumped 275.91% to 1.284 billion yuan. Wealth management remained its largest revenue source at 2.796 billion yuan, up 41.99%, while investment business revenue climbed 114.09% to 1.407 billion yuan and asset management revenue increased 24.54% to 1.475 billion yuan. The company said its fair value change gains rose 336.62% to 644 million yuan and were a key driver of profit growth. Operating cash flow came in at 5.446 billion yuan, up 34.63%, while investment cash flow was an outflow of 15.37 billion yuan. CITIC Securities also said it plans to repurchase shares with 100 million yuan to 200 million yuan of its own funds at no more than 8.4 yuan per share, with the shares to be used to reduce registered capital.
