Polymarket odds for WTI crude to reach $90 a barrel in September rose to 77%, up 17 percentage points over the past 24 hours, while the probability of a move above $95 a barrel stood at 47%, up 18 percentage points. According to Odaily, the increase came as tensions between the U.S. and Iran escalated and two supertankers were struck by unidentified objects while passing through the Strait of Hormuz, heightening concerns over crude supply.
International oil prices extended gains, with WTI briefly approaching $88 a barrel and Brent crude rising above $92 a barrel.
