Axis has launched Axis Prime, expanding its fragmented market execution infrastructure into an institutional liquidity and execution service for banks, brokers, remittance businesses, and digital asset platforms. According to ChainCatcher, the service combines trade pricing, liquidity access, execution and settlement management, as well as inventory and counterparty risk management through a single institutional relationship.
Prime supports more than 15 currencies, stablecoins, and settlement rails, and evaluates over 25 million cross-asset pricing paths. Axis said selected rails offer average quoted spreads below 10 basis points.
Axis also said Prime completed its first OTC order for a large centralized crypto exchange. The company said capital flows into Axis support its balance sheet and trading infrastructure, while Prime uses that infrastructure to quote and execute external institutional flows, creating a dual-use model for capital formation and liquidity provision.
