Ligent Technologies Clears Hong Kong Listing Hearing

Ligent Technologies, Inc., a mainland supplier of optical communication and optical interconnection products, has passed its Hong Kong listing hearing, with Citi and CICC as sponsors, according to ETNet. The China Securities Regulatory Commission had earlier approved the company's Hong Kong listing plan and issued a filing notice. Ligent plans to issue no more than 310 million overseas-listed ordinary shares and list in Hong Kong. The company said it is a mature supplier of optical communication and optical interconnection products, focusing on the research, manufacturing and sale of optical modules, optical chips and optical network terminals. It said that in 2025 it held a 4% global market share in optical module revenue, ranking fifth among specialist optical module makers worldwide, and a 10.1% share in China, ranking third globally. It added that it is one of the few companies worldwide with both optical module and optical chip R&D and production capabilities. Ligent reported net profit of RMB 221.6 million in 2023, RMB 89.49 million in 2024 and RMB 873 million in 2025. Revenue was RMB 4.24 billion, RMB 5.09 billion and RMB 8.35 billion, respectively. For the first six months of 2026, net profit rose nearly 30% year on year to RMB 660 million, while revenue increased 28% to RMB 5.39 billion. Proceeds from the listing will be used for R&D of new products and technologies, expansion of optical module and optical chip capacity, business promotion and overseas expansion, strategic investments and acquisitions in domestic and overseas markets, and working capital and general corporate purposes.
