The US International Trade Commission voted on August 28 to launch a Section 337 investigation into certain mobile devices with software and hardware used to exchange electronic content, according to Jiemian News. On July 28, GG Technologies, Inc. d/b/a StayTouch of Santa Monica, California filed the complaint, alleging the products imported into, sold in, and exported to the US infringe US Patent No. 12,022,369 and seeking a limited exclusion order and a cease-and-desist order. Apple Inc. of Cupertino, California is named as a respondent. The ITC will determine the target date for completing the investigation within 45 days of institution, and any remedial order will take effect when issued and become final on the 60th day after issuance unless the US Trade Representative vetoes it for policy reasons.
