Six Silicon Valley VC Firms Sign Strategic MOU With South Korea's NPS

Six major Silicon Valley venture capital firms, including Sequoia Capital, a16z, Khosla Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, General Catalyst and NEA, have signed a strategic investment cooperation memorandum of understanding with South Korea's National Pension Service. According to ChainCatcher, the agreement calls for the firms to jointly explore investment opportunities, share investment information and strengthen their global venture capital presence. South Korea is also accelerating policies to attract overseas venture capital, while the launch of its 200 trillion won National Growth Fund is expected to bring in policy capital, private capital and foreign capital at the same time.
