Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing has published a consultation conclusion on proposals to enhance the competitiveness of the Hong Kong stock listing regime, and the revised listing rules took effect immediately, according to Jiemian News. The changes lower the financial threshold for companies using weighted voting rights structures, ease restrictions on voting-rights ratios, make it easier for overseas listed companies to list in Hong Kong, and allow all applicants to file confidentially. The source said nearly 100 companies have listed in Hong Kong this year, with more than 500 applications still under review.
