U.S. Central Command said it completed another round of strikes on Iran at 11:30 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time on July 18 under orders from the commander in chief. According to Jin10, the strikes were part of the eighth consecutive night of air attacks.
Central Command said its forces hit Iran's military coastal surveillance and air defense facilities, maritime combat capabilities, and missile and drone storage sites to continue weakening Iran's military capabilities. It also targeted Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces after they attacked U.S. service members in Jordan on July 17.
The U.S. military said more than 50,000 U.S. troops are currently serving in the Middle East and remain highly alert, focused, lethal, and ready at all times.
