Japan Cut U.S. Treasury Holdings in May, While the U.K. and China Increased

Japan reduced its holdings of U.S. Treasuries in May. According to Jin10, U.S. Treasury Department data showed Japan held $1.143 trillion in U.S. Treasuries in May, down from $1.210 trillion in April. The data also showed the United Kingdom held $949 billion in U.S. Treasuries in May, up from $938 billion in April. China held $659 billion in U.S. Treasuries in May, up from $651 billion in April.
