Xiaomi disclosed new progress for its humanoid robot in an automobile factory, saying the success rate in one workstation rose to 98% after four months of iteration.
According to Jin10, Xiaomi said the robot’s two-sided operation success rate at a workstation for loading self-tapping nuts increased from 90.2% to 98%, leaving a gap of only 1 percentage point versus the qualified rate for manual operations.
Xiaomi also said its team launched two additional tasks: sorting center-console side cover panels and folding and recycling material bins. It said both tasks have reached a 90% success rate.
Xiaomi added that the center-console side cover panel sorting workstation scenario it showcased achieved long-duration continuous operation of flexible workpieces in an automobile factory for the first time.
