China's passenger vehicle production and sales totaled 2.373 million and 2.402 million units in June 2026, down 2.8% and 5.3% from a year earlier, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said.
According to Jin10, the association said the passenger vehicle market in June 2026 continued to show structural divergence, with domestic demand still under pressure and exports growing rapidly.
The association said declines in fuel vehicle sales were more pronounced, citing factors such as high and volatile oil prices, while new energy vehicles maintained steady growth and further increased their share.
On a month-over-month basis, June 2026 passenger vehicle production rose 5.9% and sales increased 6.6%.
For January to June 2026, passenger vehicle production and sales reached 12.721 million and 12.72 million units, down 5.9% and 6.0% year over year, the association said.
