A Fox Business crypto reporter said information related to U.S. economic data releases, Federal Reserve remarks, and further clarification on the status of the Clarity Act is expected to be concentrated this week.
According to Odaily, key items to watch include the latest inflation data such as the CPI and PPI, which may affect market expectations for the Fed’s next interest-rate decision.
The reporter said Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh is set to submit a semiannual monetary policy report to Congress and may face questions from lawmakers on Fed-related issues. Fed Vice Chair for Supervision Michelle Bowman, Fed Governor Christopher Waller, Fed Governor Michael Barr, Fed Governor Lisa Cook, and several regional Federal Reserve Bank presidents are also expected to speak.
On the Clarity Act, the reporter said an updated version will merge texts from the Senate Banking Committee and the Senate Agriculture Committee. Some industry sources said key provisions remain under “active negotiation” and that an ethics agreement is “not yet completed.”
The reporter added it is currently unclear how this may affect the timing of a full Senate vote, though many hope a vote could be scheduled as early as the week of the 20th.
