Some Apple devices have risen in price on secondhand trading platforms after Apple increased prices across multiple product lines, including Macs and iPads.
According to Jin10, a report said that on the resale platform Zhuanzhuan, the minimum transaction price for the high-end 2021 MacBook Pro rose by 400 yuan compared with June 28 and by nearly 1,000 yuan compared with June 21, based on the most recent seven-day period. The minimum transaction price for a lower-priced MacBook Pro model using the M1 chip also increased by about 300 yuan over the same recent seven-day period.
Data found on Xianyu showed the overall average price for Apple laptops was about 2,560 yuan, with prices rising recently and up 6% week on week. The report noted that this average is heavily influenced by a large number of low-priced accessories, such as disassembled speakers and hard drives, as well as a mix of newer and older models, meaning actual prices for complete laptops are much higher.
