An Iranian parliamentary official said the era of U.S. interference in the internal affairs of countries in the region has ended.
According to Jin10, Ebrahim Aziz, head of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, made the remarks on June 30 local time.
Aziz said control over the management of the Strait of Hormuz is in Iran’s hands. He also said safeguarding Lebanon’s sovereignty should be achieved by ending what he described as Israel’s occupation and aggression.
Aziz previously said that regional countries betting on U.S. plans would undermine their stability and security, and that U.S. military bases had become a threat to regional countries rather than a source of protection.
