Binance Charity Pledges $3 Million in USDT Vouchers and Fee Waivers After Venezuela Earthquakes

Binance Blog published a new article, announcing relief measures for users and communities affected by earthquakes in northern Venezuela. The post says that after devastating earthquakes struck in quick succession on June 25, 2026, Binance Charity will donate a total of $3 million through 20 USDT token vouchers distributed to eligible Binance users in the hardest-hit regions. The initiative targets users located in La Guaira, Distrito Capital, Miranda, Aragua, Carabobo, Falcón, and Yaracuy, with eligibility determined through Proof of Address requirements. In addition to the voucher distribution, Binance said it will waive P2P transaction fees and Binance Pay merchant transaction fees in Venezuela for seven days, with the fee waiver ending on July 2, 2026 (23:59 UTC-3). The company stated that the P2P waiver applies to all VES-denominated transactions, positioning the combined voucher and fee-relief measures as support for users as recovery efforts begin. Binance outlined how users can receive support, emphasizing timing and verification requirements. According to the article, users in the most affected areas who completed Proof of Address and eKYC before June 26, 2026 will each receive 20 USDT in token vouchers, redeemable through the Rewards Hub. The post also noted that some users in the region may not have completed Proof of Address, and said existing users who complete Proof of Address between June 26 and July 10, 2026 (23:59 UTC-3) will also receive 20 USDT, subject to the total donation allocation. Binance said users will receive the funds within a maximum of 30 days from the day their Proof of Address is completed.
