Cloud computing startup Runpod said it has raised $100 million in funding and has rejected multiple acquisition offers, without disclosing investor details. According to Odaily, the company focuses on renting GPU computing power to developers to support deployments of open-source models and AI applications.
The report said the sector generally relies on Nvidia GPU servers for computing resources. It added that as AI applications expand, demand has continued to rise for lower-cost and more flexible computing infrastructure, contributing to higher valuations and increased fundraising activity for cloud service providers such as Runpod.
