Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh said the United States must ensure Israel complies with the terms of a memorandum of understanding reached between the U.S. and Iran.
According to Odaily, Khatibzadeh said in an interview on the 19th local time that Iran is prepared to continue advancing the diplomatic process and would proceed step by step if the other side shows the same seriousness.
On the Strait of Hormuz, Khatibzadeh said Iran will continue to provide navigation services in coordination with Oman and under the rules of international law. He said Iran will not charge transit fees during the 60-day period specified in the memorandum of understanding, but will introduce a new channel management mechanism afterward and submit it to regional countries.
Khatibzadeh also said any future agreement must include the unfreezing of all Iranian frozen funds.
