Injective has proposed the 'Vulcan Mainnet Upgrade,' which is currently in the voting phase. According to Foresight News, the upgrade is scheduled for June 4 and includes several enhancements. Key features of the upgrade involve the introduction of a new generation oracle engine, which aims to reduce oracle gas fees by 90% and integrate Pyth Pro and SEDA oracles. Additionally, the upgrade will provide unified oracle access for EVM smart contracts through precompilation.
The proposal also seeks to strengthen stablecoin issuance infrastructure and promote the standardization of USDC. It aims to offer institutional-grade, low-cost pricing for the tokenized RWA market, preparing for future Morpho integration. Furthermore, the upgrade plans to significantly reduce overall transaction costs and enhance the security of cross-chain bridges, including strict address verification, concurrent processing optimization, and Ledger multi-signature support.
