London-based AI audit automation startup Calibre has announced the completion of a $3.3 million pre-seed funding round. According to ChainCatcher, the round was led by Vicus Ventures and CIV.
Founded by a former Palantir executive, Calibre aims to enhance efficiency in the certification and audit industry through the use of AI agents. The company highlights that current audit professionals spend a significant amount of time on document review and process organization, rather than applying their professional judgment. Calibre plans to deploy AI agents to automate tasks such as document review, information extraction, and compliance verification, thereby reducing labor costs and increasing efficiency in the certification industry.
Investors believe that the certification and audit industry has long been plagued by cumbersome processes and high reliance on manual labor. They see AI agents as a potential foundational infrastructure for this sector.
