Laos National Digital Technology Group (LADT) has announced that its parent company, AWARP, has received strategic investment from Animoca Brands. According to Foresight News, the specific amount of the investment was not disclosed. The collaboration between the two entities will focus on compliant stablecoins, cross-border payment networks, and on-chain asset systems.
AWARP is positioned as a digital economy infrastructure solution provider, with its architecture encompassing national public chains, digital IDs, industrial parks, compliant payments, stablecoins, and real-world assets (RWA). LADT, led by AWARP, is a national-level digital technology group in Laos, established under the guidance of the Ministry of Technology and the central bank. It aims to systematically build five major infrastructure sectors as a national entity. Its subsidiary, NewPay, has already reached over 1.3 million users, with a projected transaction volume exceeding $180 million by the fourth quarter of 2025.
