U.S. President Donald Trump has nominated Christopher Feren to chair the White House Council of Economic Advisers, filling the vacancy left by former chairman Stephen Milan, who will become a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in 2025. The nomination has been submitted to the U.S. Senate for approval. Feren holds a PhD in economics from Duke University and the University of Chicago. He previously served as a senior economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and is currently a professor of economics at the University of Minnesota, specializing in macroeconomic theory, incentive mechanisms, and unequal game theory.
