Mantle has issued a statement regarding the 'KelpDAO rsETH attack incident,' confirming the security of its network and collaborating with Aave and related protocols on a recovery plan. According to Foresight News, Mantle's underlying network, official bridge, and core assets remain completely secure. LayerZero has verified that the vulnerability is confined to KelpDAO's rsETH configuration, with no impact on other assets or applications. The attacker did not interact with Mantle contracts or markets. Recent localized liquidity pressures are attributed to third-party cross-chain vulnerability spillover effects, not issues with Mantle's infrastructure. Protective suspension measures are still in place and will be lifted when deemed appropriate; since April 18, funds have been steadily returning to the Mantle ecosystem. On-chain data shows that core USD assets have seen repayments totaling approximately $204 million within 48 hours, with liquidity conditions continuing to normalize. Mantle is actively communicating with the Aave team and affected protocols to coordinate recovery plans, including potential treasury involvement.
