U.S. President Donald Trump's super political action committee raised $35.6 million in March, increasing its campaign funds to $550 million. According to Odaily, Trump is attempting to defy historical trends and maintain the Republican majority in Congress amid challenging midterm election conditions. A disclosure document submitted by MAGA Inc. to the Federal Election Commission reveals that longtime Republican donor Diane Hendricks contributed $25 million, while venture capitalists Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz each donated $3 million. The California-based tribal organization Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation contributed $2 million, and a subsidiary of prison operator GEO Group Inc., a federal contractor with clients including Immigration and Customs Enforcement, donated $1 million.
At the level of external groups, the Republican Party holds a significant advantage. The House and Senate super political action committees affiliated with the Republican Party, along with Trump-affiliated groups and the MAGA Inc. super PAC, which cannot directly coordinate with campaigns, have amassed $853 million in funds prior to Monday's filing, far surpassing similar Democratic groups.
