South Korean agencies reportedly involved in criminal activities are increasingly using cryptocurrency as a payment method. According to ChainCatcher, DL News reports that these agencies operate through Telegram, offering services such as intimidation, assault, and even murder disguised as accidents. Clients are required to pay a 50% deposit in USDT, with the promise of receiving video footage of the actions via Telegram.
Despite the arrest of the alleged main perpetrator on April 3, advertisements for these services continued to be published as of April 13. South Korean police have launched investigations into over 50 related cases this year, arresting approximately 30 individuals. All cases have been found to involve cryptocurrency payments.
