With the explosive growth in demand for AI computing power and the accelerated deployment of global low-Earth orbit satellite constellations, space has become a new arena for global investment in computing power. Guo Zebang, Director of the Information Technology Industry Bureau of Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, stated that the Beijing Space Computing Innovation Center, which is under construction, aims to gather the strengths of industry, academia, and research institutions to verify the development of entire satellites and overcome key technological challenges such as radiation-resistant chips and onboard heat dissipation. Sending computing power into space is a long-term mission with a vision for the stars. It is believed that with the joint efforts of industry, academia, and research institutions, a space-ground collaborative computing network will be rapidly built. (CCTV Finance)
