Recently, the National Network Security Threat and Vulnerability Database (NVDB) of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology detected that attackers are using exploit tools targeting Apple's terminal products to launch cyberattacks, which could lead to serious harm such as information theft and system control. The affected devices include iPhones, iPads, and other Apple terminal products running iOS 13.0 to 17.2.1. Attackers use methods such as SMS, email, or website malware to lure users into visiting web pages containing malicious code using the Safari browser. They then exploit security vulnerabilities in the terminal devices to implant remote control Trojans, steal sensitive user information, and gain root access and control. Users of Apple terminal products are advised to conduct risk assessments and promptly patch vulnerabilities by upgrading their devices and installing patches. (Jinshi)
