ARK Investment plans to include OpenAI in three ETFs, each with approximately 3% of its holdings.

Cathie Wood's ARK Investment Management plans to include OpenAI in three of its ETFs: ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK), ARK Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF), and ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW). Each fund will allocate approximately 3% to OpenAI, totaling about $240 million. Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas stated that this is the fourth ETF to include exposure to a private company like OpenAI, and it won't be the last, highlighting the continued rise in demand from retail investors for exposure to popular unlisted technology companies. Previously, ARK only held OpenAI in its closed-end venture capital fund (ARK Venture Fund); this is the first time it has opened up exposure to an unlisted AI leader to retail investors through publicly traded ETFs.
