Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo disclosed in an article on the X platform that Securitize has been designated as a digital transfer agent, qualified to mint native on-chain securities for companies and ETF issuers on the NYSE's tokenized securities platform (digital trading platform). However, this is not the entirety of the collaboration. The NYSE plans to partner with Securitize to develop a digital transfer agent program to support on-chain settlement of tokenized securities trading. The two parties will also jointly develop industry standards for digital transfer agents and tokenization agents, focusing on regulatory requirements, operational processes, and technical specifications, promoting the construction of institutional-grade tokenized securities infrastructure. (Note: A digital transfer agent can be understood as a blockchain upgrade of the traditional financial "transfer registration agency," potentially supporting on-chain equity registration, real-time settlement, automatic compliance, and automatic execution of corporate actions such as dividend distribution.)
