He emphasized that firms struggling with innovation are merely using AI as an excuse for downsizing. Huang pointed out the rapid revenue growth of AI companies like OpenAI and Anthropic, which reportedly see weekly increases of $10 to $20 billion. This challenges the narrative that AI companies are not profitable. Nvidia itself has seen a surge in orders, adding $500 billion in just five months, and continues to hire more employees. Huang's comments suggest that the problem lies not with AI but with companies that have lacked new ideas for years and are now using AI as a convenient scapegoat.
