Thailand's tourism industry is experiencing a slowdown in growth due to increasing risks, according to a report by Barnabas Gan, an economist at Malaysia's RHB Bank. According to Jin10, from January 1 to March 11, the number of inbound tourists decreased by 4.4% year-on-year. This decline is primarily attributed to seasonal factors such as the Chinese New Year. Additionally, external shocks, including escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, have further impacted tourist numbers. Early indicators suggest a decrease of approximately 16% in tourists traveling to Thailand from Europe and the Middle East.
