Web3 security company CertiK showcased its services at the DC Blockchain Summit in the US, with CBO Jason Jiang attending a special forum to discuss crypto infrastructure security and industry regulation. Jason cited data from CertiK's "2025 Skynet Hack3D Report," pointing out that smart contract vulnerabilities remain the largest attack surface, while cross-chain bridges, due to their highly concentrated liquidity, have become a prime target for hackers. "In 2025, supply chain attacks caused the most severe losses, with just two incidents resulting in over $1.45 billion in losses; 240 phishing attacks were the most frequent type of attack last year." He also warned that the complex verification mechanisms of cross-chain bridges and the inconsistent security standards within the industry are becoming core threats to the stability of the crypto ecosystem. Regarding incident response, Jason emphasized that the design of relevant regulatory frameworks should focus on supporting responsible vulnerability disclosure, security technology research, and cross-industry collaboration, rather than delaying response efficiency. During the summit, Jason Jiang also exchanged views with several U.S. lawmakers, discussing the future development of market structures, how traditional banks can adapt to the new crypto paradigm, and how to strengthen consumer protection and address fraud risks. He focused on the collaborative role of technology service providers and law enforcement agencies in preventing fraud, combating crime, and protecting consumer rights.
