Vitalik Buterin recently provided feedback on the summary report of the GG23 "Predictive Funding Challenge" on the Gitcoin governance forum. He advised the project leader, @devanshmehta, to continue refining the mechanism, but to ensure that the design details and funding sources are adapted to the needs of what he described as a "chaotic era." Vitalik pointed out that Deep Funding currently possesses two major advantages: first, it is compatible with the principle of "meritocracy," avoiding foolish excessive egalitarianism; second, it benefits from AI in a way that is compatible with human subjectivity. However, he believes that the current architecture still carries the characteristics of a "stable era," attempting to build a large-scale social tool that crystallizes principles of justice and hoping for social consensus to inject funds. He emphasized that in the current turbulent global situation, the funding mechanism needs to consider how to operate effectively in an environment lacking such consensus.
