Asian stock markets experienced heightened volatility, with Japanese and South Korean stocks suffering another round of panic selling, falling for the third consecutive trading day. South Korea's KOSPI index briefly triggered a circuit breaker during the session, closing down 12.11%, its largest single-day drop on record, at 5090.79 points.
